Provincetown
based DJ Rodd Hott began mixing music in the late 80s.
Her DJ career blossomed while spinning on local
community radio stations and in the mid 90s she made the
jump into the nightclub scene. Her varied range of
music, partnered with her passion to serve the masses,
keeps people out on the dance floor time and time again.
Her six year residency at the Vixen Nightclub in
Provincetown, MA enabled her to mold and perfect her
eclectic style. "I really enjoy turning people on to new
music while also pleasing the crowd with old favorites.
I love mixing all styles of music, from any music genre,
and a theme night is a challenge I absolutely enjoy
taking on." However, she steers clear of being pigeon
holed to a particular music style and is simply known as
a DJ who will make you move.
This summer marks her debut at the Paramount Nightclub
at The Crown
& Anchor. Hott will be mixing up a flavor of hip hop and
pop dance favorites, both new and old. "I am thrilled to
be playing at the Crown, as I have heard so many of my
favorite DJs spin there."
Hott's broad range in music extends beyond her love for
house, with specialty theme nights across the board. She
is the driving force behind two successful theme
parties, showcasing her musical tastes. She held the
residency of Flashback, a retro night at Vixen, that
thrilled a diverse crowd for six years and has been the
woman being the decks for KooK,
a anything goes theme night, for ten years and is still
a local favorite. Hott has recently redefined her retro
night into everything 80s night which will debute this
summer at the Grotta Bar at Enzo's.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to spin different
styles of music to varied crowds. It's always fun to see
people having a blast to songs they loved from the 70's
and 80's and it thrills me to show people they can dance
to rock and roll."
DJ Rodd Hott will surely turn you on with her lifelong
passion for music. And watch out. She just may catch you
on the floor for a spin.
